Hurling on the TV Show Man Caves

Posted on September 28th, 2015 by Cody Hedges

If any of you are fans of the show Man Caves on the DIY Network, you’re in luck! The Kean University Hurling Club will be featured on the show on October 16 at 7:30 PM EST as part of an explanation of the sport of hurling.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with the show, a man is selected to be the lucky recipient of a custom made Man Cave in his house. One lucky winner happened to be an Irishman from Cork now living in New Jersey. Naturally, he wanted a Cork Hurling Man Cave. So they brought in the Kean University club to explain the game and have a small scrimmage with the lucky guy and the hosts.

I would encourage all of you to take an hour out of your day and take note of the slow emergence of Gaelic Games in the American cultural landscape.

Again, Man CaveS on the DIY Network at 7:30 PM EST on October 16, 2015
